Will the Bulls Miss the Playoffs?

It's been two weeks since the Bulls traded for all-star Nikola Vucevic and the Bulls still find themselves fighting for a spot in the play-in tournament. This has been a major disappointment considering the Bulls were pairing Niko with Zach Lavine, a first-time all-star this year. Since the trade, Chicago has a record of 3-8 and seems poised to miss the playoffs if the trend continues.

Things don't get better from this point with the news of Zach Lavine possibly missing the next two weeks due to health and safety protocols. The Bulls only have a 1 game lead over the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards. If they are not careful, the Wizards and Russell Westbrook could take their spot as the 10th seed.

Although the news of Zach Lavine is a major blow to the team, it is a perfect time to see what the Bulls are made of. If they truly want to be a contender in the future it is going to take for the rest of the team to take the next step with their two all-stars. If they can find a way to win games while their franchise player is out of the lineup, they can be setting themselves up to be a team that has players ready to step up in the playoffs.

It will be interesting to see how Head Coach, Billy Donovan, will be able to set this team up for victory with one of their best players being sidelined with only a few weeks until the playoffs.
